The Hamburger DOM is finally returning for summer 2026! From July 24 to August 30, 2026, countless rides, attractions, and of course plenty of delicious food await you once again. But with such a huge variety of snacks and treats, it’s easy to miss some real highlights — so we’ve rounded up the must-tries you definitely shouldn’t skip.

At Sweeteria, you’ll get the best loukoumades in all of Hamburg, promise. If you’re not familiar with loukoumades: they’re a type of Greek fried pastry and a seriously delicious sweet treat. They’re made from dough that’s shaped into small balls and then fried until they become beautifully golden and crispy. After frying, they’re dipped in honey or drizzled with it, often sprinkled with cinnamon, and sometimes topped with chopped nuts. They’re crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside.

Loukoumades are a popular dessert or snack in Greece and Cyprus, but you’ll also find them in other parts of the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East, where they’re known under different names. They’re especially popular at festivals or celebrations.

At the Hamburg Dom, Sweeteria prepares their loukoumades fresh for you, and you can choose from a variety of toppings. We recommend getting half your portion with honey and cinnamon and the other half with Nutella, but of course, you’re free to get creative.

You’ll find bratwurst in all shapes and varieties all over the Spring Dom, but we’re especially fond of the cheese–jalapeño Krainer at Wurst-Paul. This traditional food stand has been part of the Hamburg Dom for over 50 years and, as the name suggests, it mainly serves sausages. Wurst-Paul’s sausages come from a butcher in Lübeck and are known for their particularly savory, flavorful taste.

What would a visit to the Dom be without chocolate-covered fruit? In our opinion, you’ll find the very best at the Greier family’s “Schokobrunnen”. The family has been part of the Hamburg Dom for many years, although originally with a bumper car ride. But in 2014, after the Summer Dom had been taken down, their bumper cars were stolen overnight. With the chocolate fountain, the Greier family set out to rebuild their livelihood, and as the years have shown, it turned into a great success.

Greier’s chocolate fountain not only offers a wide variety of fresh fruits but also countless types of chocolate.

If you haven’t tried lángos yet, it’s definitely a must-try at the Spring Dom 2024. Lángos is a popular street food in Hungary and a real treat. It’s a deep-fried flatbread made from yeast dough, traditionally brushed with garlic water, sprinkled with grated cheese, and served with a generous dollop of sour cream. The dough for lángos is usually made from water or milk, flour, yeast, and sometimes potatoes, which gives it a unique texture.

With the Cheesebox, Julia Ricke-Dannemann has finally answered the prayers of all cheese lovers at the Hamburg Dom. Here you’ll find a wide range of cheeses, from Gouda to feta to goat cheese, served cold, warm, or even fried. You’ll be surprised by the huge selection. There are also delicious sauces and sides to choose from. We definitely recommend paying the Cheesebox a visit when you’re at the Hamburg Dom.
